Sephiroth was announced to be coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate during The Game Awards 2020 via a trailer.
Roughly a week later, there was a Sephiroth’s Showcase Stream from Nintendo. The Stream was an overview of Sephiroth’s full kit and his release date of December 22nd.

Revealed today by Nintendo is the first DLC Character of Fighter Pass Vol. 2 and the first character from the ARMS franchise, Min Min. She has a release date of June 29th.

Announced today is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate‘s next Fighter, Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses who will be released January 28th, 2020 and the Fighter Pass Vol. 2 featuring 6 more character that will span 2 years, roughly one new fighter every 4 months.
Alongside with that announcement, there are also a bunch of new additions such as new Stages and new Music from Fire Emblem and new Mii Fighter costumes featuring Megaman and Cuphead.
The Fighter Pass 2 can be pre-purchased starting January 28th, 2020 and all the fighters in the upcoming Fighter Pass have already been determined but just not revealed.

Pokemon released a video today featuring new Pokemon that can Gigantamax and how their form as quite different from their original form such as:
- G-Max Wildfire doesn’t just deal damage to an opponent when it hits—it will also continue to deal damage for four turns to any Pokémon that isn’t Fire type!
- G-Max Befuddle doesn’t only deal damage—it will also scatter scales around opponents and cause them to become poisoned, become paralyzed, or fall asleep!
If you have play records from Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee/Pikachu! on your Nintendo Switch system, you’ll be able to receive a special Eevee/Pikachu that can Gigantamax in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.
These two Gigantamax Pokemon that are exclusive as they need to be obtained from their respective Pokemon: Let’s Go Game using the play records.
- G-Max Volt Crash not only deals damage but also paralyzes all opponents!
- G-Max Cuddle doesn’t only deal damage when it hits—any opponent that is the opposite gender of Eevee will become infatuated!
Gigantamax Meowth seems to also be an exclusive Pokemon to player who pre-order the game. The exclusive Meowth can be obtained until January 15th.
- G-Max Gold Rush deals damage to opponents, of course, but that’s not all! It will also scatter coins all over the area, giving you a considerable in-game cash bonus after the battle!
This special Meowth that can Gigantamax can be received as an early-purchase bonus for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield by selecting the Get via Internet option in Mystery Gift from Friday, November 15, 2019, to Wednesday, January 15, 2020.
After being teased on the Pokemon Glimwood Tangle Livestream last week, The Pokemon Company has revealed that Pony will have a Galarian form exclusively on Pokemon Shield. Galarian Ponyta will be a psychic type and a new ability called Pastel Veil granting poison immunity & poison cure to allies.
Galarian Ponyta have been found in a certain forest of the Galar region since ancient times. It is said that they were exposed to the overflowing life energy of the forest over many generations, and this is why their appearance became unique in this region.
Galarian Ponyta can absorb the life energy of the surrounding atmosphere and store it in its mane. It seems that Ponyta’s mane will become more colorful, and even emit a sparkling glow, if there is a lot of energy around.
Galarian Ponyta’s Ability, Pastel Veil, is a new Ability introduced in these titles. This Ability prevents the Pokémon and its allies from becoming poisoned! It can even cure the poisoned status condition of its allies when this Pokémon enters the battlefield!
The Pokemon Company has just revealed the first exclusive Pokemon coming to Pokemon Sword which is Sirfetch’d, the evolution of Farfetch’d exclusive to the Galar region.
The Farfetch’d of the Galar region can evolve into Sirfetch’d after experiencing many battles. They are calm and collected, and they make a point of always battling fairly. They are so noble in battle that they are often chosen as a motif for paintings. Of particular note is a painting—famous in the Galar region—that depicts a duel between a Sirfetch’d and an Escavalier.
In battle, Sirfetch’d uses the sharp stalk of its leek as a lance and the thick leaves as a shield. It maintains this leek over the span of many years and treasures it more than anything. When its leek finally withers, Sirfetch’d will leave the battlefield and retire from battling entirely.
