Hearthstone | The Boomsday Project Reveal

Hearthstone‘s latest expansion has been revealed to be The Boomsday Project and will be releasing on August 7th bringing 135 new cards.

The Boomsday Project expansion includes the new Magnetic keyword cards, Omega Cards, Project Cards and the addition of the first legendary Spell cards.  The Magnetic keyword allows mech cards to fuse with other mech cards, combining their stats and abilities. Omega Cards which gains a bonus when played at full mana and Project Cards that affect both players.

Hearthstone | The Witchwood

The first expansion of Hearthstone‘s Year of the Raven has been revealed to be The Witchwood. The expansion will be launching soon and starting on March 26th, new cards will be revealed everyday leading up to the launch of The Witchwood.

Before the curse of The Witchwood!

A sunless gloom now cloaks winding trails as gnarled branches claw hungrily at passersby. Terrified travelers speak of misshapen shadows flickering in an unearthly mist. In the witching hours, eerie figures are seen stalking the narrow alleys and foggy, cobble-stoned streets of the city itself!

Join Gilneas’ bravest heroes they hunt for the source of the dreadful curse in Hearthstone’s latest expansion! Whatever lurks in the heart of The Witchwood will soon discover that it has bitten off more than it can chew—the people of Gilneas bite back.

New Cards & Keywords

The Witchwood Expansion includes 135 all new Witchwood themed. A new theme of these cards are that some of these cards give bonuses depending if your deck has even number or odd number cost cards.

Echo and Rush are the two new keyword cards that are going to be included in this expansion. Cards with the Echo keyword can be played multiple times within the same turn as long as you can pay the mana. Cards with the Rush keyword can attack opposing minions on the same turn they are played.

Monster Hunt

Monster Hunt will launch two weeks after The Witchwood expansion launches. Monster Hunt is The Witchwood’s single-player mode where players will defeat bosses to build up their deck as they venture deeper into The Witchwood.

Hearthstone | Year of the Raven

Hearthstone‘s Year of the Mammoth is coming to a close, this year will be the Year of the Raven. The Year of the Raven will have multiple new additions to change up Hearthstone such as with a new stand format.

Format Changes

In the Year of the Raven, Standard Decks will be made using these sets:

  • Basic
  • Classic
  • Journey to Un’Goro
  • Knights of the Frozen Throne
  • Kobolds & Catacombs
  • Upcoming 2018 Expansion

While the Wild format will contain every other previous set with these exclusive sets:

  • Whispers of the Old Gods
  • One Night in Karazhan
  • Mean Streets of Gadgetzan

Also some cards from previous sets will become only exclusive in the Wild format by being put into the Hall of Fame. These cards will no longer be avalivable in Standard and exclusively only in Wild:

  • Ice Block
  • Coldlight Oracle
  • Molten Giant

Just like last year, you can keep your copies of these card once they move to the Hall of Fame, and you’ll also be granted the full Arcane Dust value for each card (up to the maximum number that can be used in a deck).

The dust will be automatically awarded once you log-in after the Year of the Raven begins.

Faster Quests

Quest requirements will be toned down allowing player to complete them faster. All the 40 gold reward quest now reward 50 gold. Every quest that rewards 50+ gold will reward the same amount but have their requirement reduced.

In-Game Tournament

In-Game Tournaments will be added during the Year of the Raven, players will also have the ability to create their own tournaments and invite players to compete.

Lunara Hero

Lunara will be the next Hero, she will replace Maiev Shadowsong after the first expansion of 2018 has launched. You can obtain her by winning 10 games in either Standard Ranked or Casual after the first expansion of 2018 has debuted. So if you haven’t gotten Maiev yet, this is your last chance.

Hearthstone – 2018 January Ranked Play Season

January, 2018 is Hearthstone’s 46st Ranked Play Season and this month will be rewarding the Frostfire Cardback.


Whomever able to reach Rank 20 in either Standard or Wild Ranked Play modes will earn the Frosftfire Cardback when the January 2018 Ranked Play Season ends.

You earn Ranked Play reward chests based on your highest earned rank over the course of a Ranked Play season. Reward chests may contain seasonal card backs, Arcane Dust, and golden cards, and can be obtained by playing in either Standard or Wild Ranked Play modes. You’ll be awarded one chest per Ranked Play season based on your highest rank between the two modes.

Don’t forget—the further you move up the Ranked Play ladder, the more bonus stars you’ll receive next season. In Ranked Play, you’ll receive bonus stars based on your performance from the previous season—one bonus star per rank you attained. Please note that even if bonus stars from the previous season get you directly to Rank 20 or above, you still have to log in at least once each Ranked Season to qualify for the card back reward.

December, 2017 is Hearthstone’s 45thrd Ranked Play Season and this month will be rewarding the Catacomber Cardback.


Whomever able to reach Rank 20 in either Standard or Wild Ranked Play modes will earn the Catacomber Cardback when the December 2017 Ranked Play Season ends.

You earn Ranked Play reward chests based on your highest earned rank over the course of a Ranked Play season.
