Maplestory GMS v.172 – Maple’s Eleven

GMS v.172 – Maple’s Eleven is Maplestory‘s 11th Anniversary patch. The patch includes the re-addition of previous Anniversary exclusion items, Job re-balancing and Boss revamps.

Maplestory’s 11th Anniversary

Maple’s Eleven is Maplestory’s 11th Anniversary Update, in this Update there will be numerous Maplestory Anniversary Events that will allow players to accommodate 11th Anniversary Coins that can trade in for Maple Treasure Gear. Players also have the chance of obtaining previous Maplestory Anniversary Gear up to the first ever Anniversary of Maplestory.

Job Re-balancing

Maple’s Eleven’s Job Re-balancing affects nearly every single job class except for Jett, Hayato and Kanna. Mages in this patch receive the biggest change because their Elemental Decrease/Reset skills have been nerfed from -100% Elemental attribute resistance to -10%. In exchange for such a nerf, every single mage classes affected is receiving a final damage increase.

Boss Revamp

The second biggest feature in Maple’s Eleven is the revamp of a few Boss and their drops. Zakum has received an update that gives him new art, animation and attacks. Zakum also drops new items.


  • Chaos Root Abyss bosses and Empress Cygnus will no longer drop Fafnir or Empress equipment and will instead drop Pieces.

Each Chaos Root Abyss will drop a specific misc. item that can be trade in for a Lv. 150 item.

  • Piece of Time: Dropped from Chaos Von Bon. Collect 5 to exchange for a Lv. 150 Eagle Eye Top
  • Piece of Anguish: Dropped from Chaos Crimson Queen. Collect 5 to exchange for a Lv. 150 Royal Hat
  • Piece of Mockery: Dropped from Chaos Pierre. Collect 5 to exchange for a Lv. 150 Trixter Bottom
  • Piece of Destruction: Dropped from Chaos Vellum. Collect 15 to exchange for a Lv. 150 Fafnir Equipment

Chaos Root Abyss now have badges that can be attained by defeating a certain or all Root Abyss Boss 10 times.

  • Chaos Von Bon Crusher: Untradeable, Ignore DEF: +5%
  • Chaos Crimson Queen Crusher: Untradeable, Weapon ATT/Magic ATT: +3
  • Chaos Pierre Crusher: Untradeable, STR/DEX/INT/LUK: +8
  • Chaos Vellum Crusher: Untradeable, Boss Monster Damage: +5%
  • Root Abyss Master: Untradeable, STR/DEX/INT/LUK: +8, Weapon ATT/Magic ATT: +3, Boss ATT: +5%, MaxHP/MaxMP: +300, Ignore DEF: +5%

The sames goes for Empress Cygnus who will drop 2 new misc. items, one for the weapon and the other for Equipment.

  • Piece of Darkness: Collect 5 to exchange for a Lv. 140 Empress Hat, Outfit, Gloves, Shoes, or Cape
  • Piece of Ruin: Collect 5 to exchange for a Lv. 140 Empress Weapon

Also defeating Empress Cygnus 20 times will award a player the Savior of the Empress badge.

  • Savior of the Empress: Untradeable, STR/DEX/INT/LUK: +5, Weapon ATT/Magic ATT: +2, MaxHP/MaxMP: +300, Ignore DEF: +5%

Empress Cygnus, now has an easy mode. It will drop the same things as the normal Empress Cygnus but players are limited to once per week and it resets every Thursday.

Other Updates

Maple Eleven’s also has some minor Updates to things such as Transfer Hammer, Combos and Mu Lung Dojo.

Transfer Hammer Update

  • The level difference between equipment to utilize the Transfer Hammer has been adjusted for equipment under Lv. 100.
    • The level requirement has been changed from 1 – 10 levels higher to 1 – 20 levels higher.

Combo Update

  • EXP rewarded from combo kills has been increased:
    • 50 kills has increased from 200% to 500%.
    • 300 kills has increased from 350% to 700%.
    • 700 kills has increased from 500% to 1000%.

Surprise Mission Update

  • Surprise Mission EXP has increased by 50%.
  • Spell Trace rewards have been increased from receiving 50 or 100 to receiving 100, 200, 300, or 500.

Mu Lung Dojo Update

  • Changes have been made to several Mu Lung Dojo bosses.
  • The following bosses will no longer have a debuff for the Magician classes.

    • Alishar
    • Lord Pirate
    • Crimson Balrog
    • Manon
    • Griffey
    • Leviathan
    • Dodo
    • Lilynouch
    • Lyka
  • The prices of the Training Center Charms from Lao’s shop have been adjusted. A new time-limited entrance charm has been added.
    • Unity Training Center Entrance (30 minutes): 2,000 points
    • Unity Training Center Entrance (1 hour): 3,500 points
    • Unity Training Center Entrance (3 hours): 10,000 points
    • Unity Training Center Entrance (6 hours): 18,000 points
    • [NEW] Unity Training Center Entrance (12 hours): 30,000 points

Dimensional Mirror Removal

  • The Dimensional Mirror has been removed from the following maps:
    • Ellinia
    • Perion
    • Kerning City
    • Lith Harbor
  • The Quick Move will have an option to move directly to the Event Hall.
