The sequel to Dishonored was leaked earlier, but now we finally have an official trailer at E3!
15 years after the events of Dishonored, the throne of Emily Kaldwin is stolen by a supernatural entity and it’s up to Corvo Attano (protagonist of Dishonored) and the young empress Emily Kaldwin (daughter of the Empress from Dishonored) to Karnaca to restore Emily’s power. Both Emily and Corvo will be playable, and both will have their own powers granted by the Outsider.
It is unknown which ending Dishonored 2 follows, but all that’s canon is that Corvo and Emily live. Unknown if high or low Chaos.
Although Emily has longer reach in her powers, she does not possess Corvo’s blink power and relies on her grappling rope like ability. Both characters have their own movements, dialogue choices, and playstyle (Emily being more agile since Corvo is 54 years old at this time) and will have their own perspective. The protagonist is chosen at the beginning, and cannot be switched until the game has been finished. There will be no co-op, however.
Dishonored Definitive Edition has also been announced for PC, Xbox One and PS4. This will include the original game as well as all the DLC. Bethesda’s twitter predicts that Dishonored Definitive Edition will come out this August while Dishonored 2 will be released sometime in 2016.
So for those who don’t have Dishonored yet or want to relive the experience remastered, now’s your chance!
