Warframe – How to get Chroma

Update 16 or the Sanctuary Update introduced the all new Chroma Warframe.

As of Warframe – Spectres of the Rail Update, acquisition of Chroma’s components have moved to the Junctions. Respectively Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

A master of the deadly elements, Chroma can alter damage output by changing energy coloring.

Chroma’s powers include:
Spectral Scream: Exhale a deep breath of elemental destruction. Chroma’s energy color determines the element.
Elemental Ward: Depending on Chroma’s elemental alignment, an offensive area-of-effect is created. Chroma and its nearby allies are imbued with defensive energy.
Vex Armor: When shields are hit, Chroma’s armor grows stronger, when health takes a hit, weapon damage increases. Active for a limited time, maximum increases correspond to rank.
Effigy: Chroma turns his pelt into a massive sentry that strengthens nearby allies and engulfs enemies in elemental attacks.

In order to start the quest The New Strange which allows you to gather the new Chroma part, you must finish the Stolen Dreams Quest. Plus also be Mastery Rank 5 or above.

Step 1.

The first mission takes you to a Grineer Shipyard on Monolith, Phobos, the mission is entitled Missing Sentinels. This mission will consist of both a rescue mission then into a spy mission. Upon finishing the mission, you are asked to go meet Cephalon Simaris who is located in any relay second room and perform a mission for him.

Step 2.

Cephalon Simaris asks you to go Phobos and synthesize 3 elite Arid Lancers. In order to synthesize 3 elite Arid Lancers, you must have a Synthesis Scanner equipped which you can get from Cephalon Simaris’ shop. You will have the choice to either go to a Sabotage mission in D’Arrest, Deception mission in Skyresh, or a Mobile Defense mission on Sharpless. I would prefer the Deception. In the mission, you will need to pull out your Synthesis Scanner and follow the blue lines until you get a message from Cephalon Simaris where he will say you have found a target. Upon finding a target, you will have to scan 4 parts of his body, if you’re not using any invisible Warframe, I would recommend using a Kinetic Siphon Trap which will keep the target in place for you to scan. Upon finishing, go to Cephalon Simaris again and he will reward you will the Chroma Chassis.

Step 3.

When you have finished the Chroma Chassis, you will be asked to go to Sorath, Europa. Which is a mobile defense on a corpus base with 3 terminals. When finished, you will be rewarded the Chroma Helmet.

Step 4.

After finishing the Helmet, you will be asked to go to Skyresh, Phobos. Here, you will find a Chroma armed with a Plasma Sword in which you have to scan him with the Synthesis Scanner. After scanning him and finish the mission, you will be rewarded the Chroma Systems.

Step 5.

The last mission will commence once the Chroma Systems have been finished. This time, youi will be going to Kokabiel, Europa for a Defense Mission. You will be defending a Arcane Machine until Chroma arrives, where you must scan him 5 times to finish the mission. Finishing the mission will reward you the Chroma Blueprint.
