Diablo 3 – 2.2.0 PTR Patch Notes

Patch 2.2.0 PTR for Diablo 3 has been released, it will include the removal of the Health Potion into an bottomless action bar, class changes and new items.

Regular Health Potions are no longer in the game, they have become to function as a Legendary bottomless potions now without taking space in the inventory.

Barbarian Skill Change
Active Skill Hammer of Ancients – Rolling Thunder Hit box has been altered to make it easier to hit enemies.
Active Skill Rend – Mutilate Fixed an issue that didn’t increase the rune’s damage.
Active Skill Whirlwind  Radius: 8 yards -> 9 yards
Passive Skill Nerves of Steel Redesigned

Upon take fatal damage, you will drop to 15% of your life pool then for 3 seconds, you will take 95% reduced damage and immune to all CC. 60 second cooldown.

Active Skill Punish 

  • –  Celerity
  • – Fury
  • – Rebirth
  • – Roar
All runes for Punish have had it’s Proc coefficient increased.
Active Skill Sentry Now displays the # of Sentries active.

Active Skill Haunt – Poisoned Spirit Fixed bug where damage did not increase.
Active Skill Hex Hex effect: Single Target -> AOE

Maximum range increased.

Fetish Shaman hex cast time: 3s -> 4s

Active Skill Plague of Toads – Rain of Toads Proc coefficient has been reduced
Passive Skill Fetish Sycophants Proc chance 10% -> 15%

Active Skill Slow Time – Point of No Return Cast at target location up to 60 yards.

Stun Duration 3s -> 1s

Active Skill Slow Time – Time and Space Renamed Exhaustion.

Enemies deal 25% less damage if caught.

Active Skill Slow Time – Time Warp Damage bonus 10% -> 15%
Passive Skill Arcane Dynamo Fixed issues where Flash of Insight stacks were consumed upon picking up Nephalem Glory orbs or talking to a NPC.


General  Changes
Bows, Crossbows, Hand Crossbows +Max Discipline is now rollable
Crafted Rare Items No longer Account Bound.
Ramaladni’s Gift Can stack to 100x.
Potions  Changes
Bottomless Potion of the Leech
  • Life on Hit increased from 1500-3000 -> 15000-20000 for 5 seconds
Bottomless Potion of the Mutilaton
  • Life on Kill increased from 4000-8000 -> 40000-50000 for 5 seconds
Bottomless Potion of the Regenration
  • Additional Life gained increased from 25000-45000 -> 75000-100000 over 5 seconds
Bottomless Potion of the Rejuvenation NEW LEGENDARY POTION!

  • Gain 20-30% of your maximum resource when used below 50% Life
Legendary Item Changes

BlizzCon Elemental Ring NEW LEGENDARY RING!

  • Gain 150-200% increased damage to a single element for 5 seconds in order of Arcane, Cold, Fire, Holy, Lightning, Physical, Poison. Cold is excluded for Crusaders.
Puzzle Ring
  • Treasure Goblin helper has increased pick up radius and pick up speed.
  • Fixed bugs where a Treasure Goblin has been killed message pops up and where a Treasure Goblin lore book was granted whenever a player died with ring.
Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac
  • Now reduces the remaining cooldown of one of your skills by 1 second each time you spend resources.
Boots of Disregard
  • Life per Second increased from 500 -> 10000
  • Number of stacks reduced from 8 -> 4

Fixed an issue that prevented the cooldown debuff from being removed on death

Your Fire Signature Spells cause up to 3 enemies to explode, dealing 250% weapon damage as Fire to enemies within 10 yards

Halo of Arlyse
  • Fixed an issue that could sometimes cause Ice Armor – Crystalize stacks to fall off with this item equipped

  • Increases the damage of Meteor by 100%
  • Increases the damage of Meteor by 300-400% when it hits 3 or less enemies
Tal Rasha’s Elements
  • (2) Set Bonus

Damaging enemies with Arcane, Cold, Fire or Lightning will cause a Meteor of the same damage type to fall from the sky. There is an 8 second cooldown for each damage type

Now uses the Molten Impact rune when triggered by Fire damage

Can no longer be triggered by hitting a destructible object

  • (4) Set Bonus

Attacks increase your resistance to that element by 100% for 6 seconds

  • (6) Set Bonus

Attacks increase your damage by 75% for 3 seconds. Arcane, Cold, Fire, and Lightning attacks each add one stack (maximum of 4). Adding a stack refreshes the duration

Slow Time Hat NEW LEGENDARY Hat!

  • Slow Time gains the effect of every rune
Gesture of orpheus
  • Can now roll with +% Arcane, Cold, Fire or Lightning damage instead of just Arcane
Class Weapons

Barbarian – Skull Grasp
  • Increases the damage of Whirlwind by 400-450% weapon damage
Crusader – Ivory Tower
  • Blocks release forward a Fires of Heaven
Demon Hunter – Dead Man’s Legacy
  • Multishot hits enemies who are below 50-60% health twice


  • Packs of Champion Archers in Westmarch now spawn as Revenant Archers instead of Skeletal Archers
  • The drop chance of Rakanishu’s Blade has been increased
  • Increased the spawn chance of several extremely rare unique monsters in Act V


  • Areas in which Keywardens are located now have a boss icon on the Waypoint map
    • The icon will indicate whether or not the Keywarden has been killed
    • This is only for level 60+ games
  • Act II
    • Ancient Waterway
      • New bounties have been added for the Eastern and Western channels
      • Eastern and Western channels now each have two levels
    • Waypoints
      • New Waypoint added
        • Ancient Waterway
      • Dahlgur Oasis waypoint has been moved down slightly
  • Nephalem Rifts
    • Slightly increased the chance for a couple of extremely rare Nephalem Rift maps to spawn
    • Several new Nephalem Rift maps have been added based on the following zones:
      • Festering Woods
      • Fields of Misery
      • Fields of Slaughter
      • Stinging Winds
  • Bug Fixes
    • Fixed an issue that prevented players who paid a Rift Keystone to enter the Greater Rift from being able to obtain an upgraded Rift Keystone if they were not in the game when the quest advanced to the “Talk to Orek in town” step

      • The new Treasure Goblins can only be found in Adventure Mode


  • You now must now confirm deletion of a Seasonal item in your mailbox
  • Rift Guardians’ positions now always show on the map or minimap regardless of your distance from them
  • The Social Button now opens the Friends list by default, but will remember what was last viewed and will navigate to that screen the next time it’s opened
