Ubisoft has announced Assassin’s Creed Rogue with a CG announcement trailer.
Unlike other Assassin’s Creed, the location of this sequel is around the Northern Atlantic Ocean. You play the role of an Assassin turned Templar named Shay Patrick Cormac that hunts his former comrades. The setting of an Northern Atlantic Ocean makes the gameplay pretty similar to Black Flag where your mostly on your ship but rather than the Jackdaw, It’s the Morrigan. Cormac’s storyline is supposely connected to both Assasins Creed 3, Black Flag and the upcoming title Unity which implies this timeline is somewhere around the French Revolution or has connections leading up to the French Revolution. Plus this is the first Assassins Creed where the main character is a Templar, not like Assassin’s Creed 3’s bait and switch of main characters.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue has been confirmed for a released date of November 11. For some reason, it’s made exclusively for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, so long for next-gen. Plus as usual, Ubisoft is already trying to push it’s pre-orders.
