GMS V.151 Rising Heroes: Tower of Oz Update

The Tower of Oz is the American installment of KMS’ The Seed update. The Tower of Oz is a unique type of dungeon that doesn’t solely rely on incredible damage output, its requires more mechanical ability and knowledge for Quizzes or Jump Quests. Tower of Oz is open to any characters that are level 100 or above which can be accessible through the Dimensional Mirror.  The Tower of Oz has a time limit concept that can be increased by using “Stupids Pills” which increases your time allotted to traverse the Tower. As you repeating clear floors, you allot Oz Points which you can use to buy more potent Stupid Pills from Glinda or you can unlock more Stupid Pill slots from Alicia to increase your total time allowed. The daily limit of floors you can clear is 200. In the beginning you are given 5 base minutes and one Stupid Pill Slot.  Each floor completion rewards Oz points and Experience then upon leaving the floor to the lobby awards an Alicia’s Ring Box that corresponds to which floor you exited on. The box contain new weapons and equipment to the update along with possibly some unique skills. You are given resting spots every 10 floors after floor 5 which allows for short breaks. Even logging out will not disrupt your timer and you will return to the resting area with no penalties.  The dungeon has a total of 50 floors with every repeating 10 floors containing a boss. Each floor has a different style of play such as Jump Quest and Quizzes even though its mostly defeating monsters. The five bosses are based off the characters from the Wizard of Oz, such as the first boss encounter at is a Giant Spider (not really Oz related) followed by Tin Woodman (Tin Can Man) at intervals of 10 followed by the Cowardly Lion, Scarecrow then the last floor Dorothy along with Toto. Each bosses has an unique ability such as the Cowardly Lion has his so called potions that give him courage which allows him to buff up for a limited time. The scarecrow has a very logical mechanic which his only weakness is the fire along the sides of the map which you lure him to. He has around 800% defense so unless you heavenly funded you probably will not scratch him. According to KMS, Glinda’s shop consists of the following times that may or may not vary.

  • Alicia’s Damage Skin (300,000 points) [Floor 30 or more]
  • Base Damage Skin (50,000 points) [Floor 5 or more]

According to http://orangemushroom.net/ / KMS these are the possibly rewards from Alicia’s Ring Boxes but may differ because it is GMS. At every 5 interval of floor completion your Alicia’s Ring Box increases ranks from Rank 10 to Rank 1. Each box has a chance of giving a special unique ring that gives off a unique skill such as attack buff, accuracy buff, etc. There is no limit to how many rings of these nature you can equip at once and the skills appear in your beginner skill tab. Rank 5 or above Alicia’s Ring Boxes or 10 Box Pieces from bosses above floor 30 can possibly award a Hidden Ring Box which has a 100% chance of giving a ring but is not guaranteed to be a high-ranking one. There is a total of 31 rings which has a random roll of 1-4 which determines the potency of the ring such as +4%/6%/8%/10% boss damage. Out of all the rings, 25 rings given an active skill (buff) which the remaining 6 are passive rings.
